According to the numbers of iSuppli noticed today happened a fall of Personal Computer sales. This was the biggest fall, since whne iSuppli started analyze the coomputer’s market. Had been sell 66, 5 millions on the first months of 2009. Last year, this number was 72,3 millions. If compared with the final last year the fall is bigger than this year: 14,4%. Were the desktops that influenced negative in the result: had a fall of 23%. On the order hand the number of portable computers like netbooks and notebooks increased and has a sales of 10% more than last year.
The market of chips and servers were with problems too. The first will be a decrease more than 21,3% on sales and the second 24%. The main explanation to shareholders of IT enterprises is the crises that decrease the consumption of merchandise superfluous products like electronics.

My opinion is the same of the author’s article that the decrease on personal computer sales is due to economical crisis. In difficult times consumers buy essential products and give less attention to superfluous products.
ResponderExcluirI agree with Cátia. In an international crisis, people stop to consume and just take care about essential products. This fact influenced directly the personal computer sales.
