HSBC decreases cheque guarantee limit
The bank HSBC is descreasing the cheque limit on some of its customers' debit cards. Today around 300,000 customers have a £250 limit on their cards and the idea is reduced to £100. According to the bank this decision will cut losses from cheque fraud and discourage people from spending money that they didn't have. Nowadays many retailers on the market don’t accept cheques. HSBC said there was no particular problem with its cards being misused among its 10 million current account customers in the UK. The decision will affected consumers that typically asked in the past for a cheque guarantee limit that was larger.

I think the idea of HSBC bank in decreasing the check limit of some clients is wonderful. People are used to add their limits on credit cards and special checks as the money was part of their salaries. Many customers get a big debt because of this action. I hope this idea could be extended to Brazil.
ResponderExcluirI think this is a positive attitude of HSBC because the interests from the cheque limit are highest than other kind of loans.
